Year 10 Visual Arts and Year 10 Photographic and Digital Media are offered as either a 1 year (100 hour) course or as the second year of a 2 year (200 hour) course. Both courses are designed to prepare students for success in Stage 6 (senior) Visual Arts.
The courses are both based in the terminology of the Visual Arts syllabus and provide students with a wide range of experiences in artmaking including photography, digital imaging, sculpture, drawing, painting, printmaking and ceramics. Those students studying Photographic and Digital media will specialise in the areas of digital photography, digital graphics, and film-making.
Course participants will also study the work of practising artists related to their own artmaking.
